Fine Animal Portraiture

I paint realistic portraits of all kinds of animals in natural, arranged, or imagined settings.  Whether fur, feathers, or even scales, painting the fine details is the real appeal for me.  I love a good fantasy background, but sometimes a simple pattern or softened tone is best to capture the true essence of someone's beloved pet.  I work from photographs so there is no need for any pet to "Sit and Stay!" and I can paint a beautiful and meaningful portrait no matter how far away the subject lives.
